Thanks for stopping by!

Who we are:

Rainshadow Quilting Arts Guild

We are a 501c3 organization (Federal EIN: 42-1535247) formed in 2002 to foster an appreciation and understanding of quilts as a traditional needlecraft medium or expressive art form; share talents and knowledge to promote excellence in needlecraft; educate and encourage our members and the public in traditional quilts and quilt art through workshops, guest teachers and speakers and quilt shows.

The Guild provides opportunities to exhibit examples of traditional quilts and quilt art, donates to charitable organizations; and provides information to all members with regard to Guild programs, retreats, shows, and meetings.  We host an annual quilt retreat.

Membership is open to all persons who pay annual dues ($30.00). The annual meeting is held in the fall, with Board meetings held throughout the year to which all members are invited.  Members’ activities or classes are planned monthly except for August when we assist in the Textile Arts Building (Wool Shed) at the SJ County Fair.

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

NOTE

There is a sewing/quilting group that meets at the Mullis Center weekly on Wednesday afternoons at 4pm. You will see many of the same faces, but the “Wednesday Night Quilters (AKA ‘Wildrose Quilters) are not, necessarily, a part of Rainshadow Quilting Arts Guild (which is the 501-3c entity). There is no cost associated with the Wednesday Night Quilters group, but the Sewcials are for Rainshadow Quilting Arts Guild members only. For further information about the difference please see the page titled “Wednesdays”.
